Zbigniew KlonowskiZbigniew Klonowski
Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade at the University of Gdańsk and postgraduate of Master of Business Administration organized by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development with the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

Between 1994 and 2000 he was associated with Vinpol Toruń Wine Cellars starting as a Manager of Import and Export and finishing as a Member of the Supervisory Board. Since 1999, co-funder and Chairman of the Board of Trias S.A. capital group which includes companies such as Trias AVI, VES, DIGISERVICE, Azoty Arena Operator and CWK Operator. Since 2014 he is associated with Virtual Power Plant.

Winner of the award presented by the Mayor of Toruń in the category of new business. In the following year he was nominated as one of the top five businessman in Poland in a competition “Businessman Laurel” organised by the editors of Businessman Magazine and by audit and advisory firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He takes a number of community functions such as his work in the Council of the Foundation of Friends of the Planetarium and the Museum of Niclaus Copernicus managing the Planetarium in Toruń. Moreover, he is the Chairman of the Board of Audiovisual Carriers Section at the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications and the President of the Polish Association of Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Development and a board member of this organization (IAKS International).

Seasoned investment banker, manager and attorney-at-law; 30 years of professional experience.

2001-2013 – Managing Partner and Chairman of TRIGON, the oldest Polish brokerage house;
1997-2000 – Senior Vice President and General Counsel of @Entertainment Inc., the largest CATV and DTH operator in Central and Eastern Europe and the first company from the region listed on the NASDAQ. At the same time, he was the President of Wizja TV;
1996-96 – Managing Director (Poland), MessPierson (investment banking subsidiary of ABN AMRO);
1990-95 attorney, Soltysinski Kawecki & Szlezak; 1987-92 – Assistant Professor, Adam Mickiewicz University Law School, Poznan;

Graduated in 1987 summa cum laude from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Law). Passed the Judge/Bench Exam (’89) and the Bar Exam (’93).

Fulbright Fellow at the University of California, Hastings (1991-92); Postgraduate programs at Georgetown University (’91, ’08), Leiden University (’90) and TMC Asser Institute (’91).

Chairman of the European Board of the Young Presidents’ Organization (2007-09).

Member of the Supervisory Boards of several public companies, author of several publications on issues related to business.


RossanRossen Hadijev

A graduate of Administration at the American University in Bulgaria and MBA at the IESE Business School (Spain). Rossen Hadijev speaks fluent English, Polish and Bulgarian, and also has a good command of Spanish and Russian.

He was also the Executive Director at PineBridge Investments fund (Central Europe).

Rossen Hadijev has over 16 years of experience in the private equity sector and in management in Central-Eastern Europe. During this time, he has worked on projects related to telecommunications, cable television, financial and pharmaceutical services, and industry. He has played a key role in structuring, negotiating and monitoring of several significant investments in Central-Eastern Europe, including ones executed under such entities as: EasyPack Sp. z o.o., Work Service S.A., Nextebank. JetFinance, Orange Romania and Orange Slovensko.

Graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, postgraduate tax studies at the Warsaw School of Economics, postgraduate MBA studies at the School of Administration and Management, and the program of the International Institute for Securities Markets Development in Washington, DC organized by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He has the authority to be on the Supervisory Boards of Treasury companies. He has completed a number of domestic and international trainings on capital markets, corporate governance, corporate order, project management, investment techniques, planning and evaluation of investment projects, the use of financial instruments and the diplomatic protocol.

Between 1994 and 2014, he was associated with the Warsaw Stock Exchange, where he held the functions of a member of the board of directors, vice president of the board and president of the board.

Active member of many supervisory boards. He held positions in the Federation of European Securities Exchanges, Bond Spot SA, National Depository for Securities, Graal SA, Aquis Exchange Ltd, Polish Power Exchange SA.

Currently, apart from being a member of the supervisory board of Virtual Power Plant, he is a member of the board of directors of Getin Holding SA and Private Equity Managers SA. He also serves as Vice President of eTravel S.A. and a partner in Trio Management Group.

When he was the President of the Management Board of GPW SA, the company was ranked by Euromoney as the best managed stock exchange in the CEE region being ahead of stock exchanges in Istanbul, Moscow and Vienna.

In 2014 the winner of the main prize in the MBA Manager – Grand Prix Manager Award 2014 “for outstanding achievements in management”.

Piotr PietrzakPiotr Pietrzak

Member of the Board in the startup fund StartVenture@Poland, professional investment advisor experienced in VC, PE and M&A. He held management roles in capital funds leading investment processes in Polish and international startups. Graduate of Warsaw School of Economics and the program of international finance at Tilburg University.



Marcin ZającMarcin Zając

Over 10 years of experience in creation of financial models reflecting company operations, including large international stock-listed companies, as well as small innovative startups. Marcin prepared evaluation models for several dozen companies.

At Giza Polish Ventures, he is responsible for preparing financial models of the analyzed innovative companies and constructing on their basis evaluation instrument with the use of methodologies relevant to knowledge-based companies, that is evaluation of the intellectual assets enriching traditional methods like EVA, DCF, or APV. He graduated from Private School of Business and Administration and holds a postgraduate diploma in Managing the Value of Company from Warsaw School of Economics.
