VPPlant platform enables the exchange of benefits resulting from the real-time adjusting of energy consumption by active energy consumers to the current capacity of DSOs or situation on the transmission grid. Services provided by VPPlant are measured by “negawatts” (energy, consumption of which was consciously abandoned). As part of the research and development project, co-funded by the National Centre for Research and Development program Alfa Bridge – the company has developed an Enabler DSR service. This technology adjusts the consumption of electricity and heat in buildings to their variable occupancy while maintaining comfort perceived by the people inside. Enabler DSR also prepares the building from technical standpoint to the changes that will occur in the next decade in the European energy sector.
In July 2016 VPPlant started oBEMS project to expand Enabler DSR for better optimization of office buildings. This project is co-financed with the use of European funds under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020.
